                                                                              2023 CUSTOMER LETTER

                                                                 BUTLER COUNTY PWSD#3 CUSTOMERS

Effective January 2024 we will be having a rate increase on the water bills. The increase will be 10%. We did not have an increase in 2023. The new minimum for 1000 gallons will increase from $20.96 to $23.06.

Just a few updates as well, the new water plant is up and running and performing great with no issues. We offer automatic payments from your checking account or debit/credit card. We keep this on file and process it the 12th of every month. We are still trying to get it set up to be able to send e-statements out to the customers that prefer them. If you would like to start receiving e-statements once we have it up and running, please contact our office so we can get an e-mail address on file for you.

Also, with this letter you will find a sheet containing questions about the piping coming into your home. We ask if you can provide any information, it would be greatly appreciated. This information will be used to complete service line inventory required by the EPA for the new lead and copper rule. These papers can be filled out and returned to our office or emailed. You can also call the office with the information if you would like.

We will also be purchasing a new all call system to contact our customers via phone call or text. Please contact our office to make sure we have updated contact information or fill out the included paper and return it to the office. We decided to do this because of the concerns voiced by the customers about not being informed properly so we think this will clear a lot of that up. In order to get this system. up and running we will be adding a 0.15 cent charge to the water bills to cover the cost of the system.

We would also like to remind our customers that our office is closed from 12:00 to 12:30 for lunch.

We are on call 24hrs a day if you have an emergency and need to contact us, there is always a number on the answering machine if you contact the office at 573-785-5571. We would also like to remind you please do not attempt to shut your water off at the meter. You should have a shut off on your side to use if need be. If something was to happen and you break any part of our equipment inside the meter box you will be charged for the repairs. We appreciate you cooperation and if you have any further questions, please contact our office at 573-785-5571
